The consensus gathered from Soho business managers yesterday was that business and takings are slow. The reason given across the board was the current economic climate, some also mentioned a dip due to the world cup as customers were choosing to watch TV at home rather than shop or socialise.

I mentioned my plan was to help bring new business and visitors into Soho with www.soho-village.co.uk, the response was supportive and positive, with new ads submitted and underway.

Spoke to a few business owners and shop managers Saturday 22 May, handed out a few 'It's all about Soho' flyers.

Response was very positive and friendly even though I was finding my feet explaining what we are offering in a sentence or two. Met some very interesting people working in fabric shops, art shops, record shops, plumbing supplies and music stores.
